Update from Cub Scout Pack 33

Cub Scout Pack 33 started in Downtown Minneapolis in 2015 and has grown quickly with boys from Downtown, Kenwood, Northeast and Uptown.  Cub Scouting is about teaching boys the values of the Scouting program while having fun and making friends at the same time. Boys are organized into Dens of the same age who meet twice a month for activities, and then all dens together meet as a Pack once a month for family friendly events like the Pinewood Derby, Cub Carnival, or field trips and outings.
Last year Pack 33 went on their first weekend campout along with Boy Scout Troop 33, in addition to hosting the Pinewood Derby, a Recycled Raingutter Regatta, Nature hike, Polar Cubs Day camp, field trips, Earth Day cleanup and more.  With fall approaching planning is well underway for the new season and planning more and different activities that teach the boys about working together, service and leaning new skills while having fun at the same time.
If you are interested in Cub Scouts for your 5-11 year old son you can see what the Pack has been up to on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Pack33Minneapolis/ .  We are also hosting a back to fall potluck cookout at Kenwood Park on Wed, Aug 30th at 6pm for current and prospective families who want to learn more, and we will be signing up at Minneapolis public schools on Tuesday Sept 19th.  You can also email [email protected] for more information.   Cub scouts is a great program and we hope you’ll check it out!
